This week I've been experimenting with some digital techniques using Adobe Illustrator.

When I lived in London I took an Illustrator course at Central Saint Martins. Jesus it was difficult! I remember sitting next to a Ukrainian girl who was quite good, asking her about every single step. I'm still a bit confused but it's great fun when you suddenly manage a new way of drawing. When I'm lucky, I also end up with some happy mistakes.

I always like to let the texture of the paper come through in order to create a more tactile feel. Do you have any tricks when it comes to Illustrator?

Something I always come back to is ballerinas. It's so fascinating what the body can do and all the beautiful shapes that are created by movement. Isn't it also something interesting (and a bit terrifying) to look at ballerinas' feet?

This illustration was mainly created in Adobe Illustrator – the medium I've been struggling so much with. Over a year ago, I decided to take a short course at Central Saint Martins and that really helped. I finally feel that I'm getting the hang of it, what do you think?
