The wedding weekend in Italy is over and I’m back in St Tropez again. How to summarise this weekend? I guess you could simply say: amazing pasta, coffee and wine everywhere you go. This fact will probably contribute to a small crisis when I head back to London (but luckily you can find other things than fish and chips and sandwiches).

Most importantly, I have to say that Lovisa and Patrik – a more positive, generous and fun couple is hard to find. Their mix of cold Prosecco, fresh fish and Gigi D’Agostino-filled playlists made this wedding an unforgettable Italian experience.

The explosion of colours is also something I have to mention when speaking of Santa Margherita and Portofino. Here are some images to summarise the inspiration I found in the amazing shades of orange, blue and green.

The view from Hotel Miramare.

From small...

...to bigger waves.

How cute are these cabins?

The Italians can even make tomato sauce photogenic.

Prego!

We're finally here in lovely Santa Margherita in Italy. Some close friends are getting married and we will be staying until Monday. I helped them design the invite so I'm really thrilled about seeing all the beautiful buildings and sites in real life, not just on Google maps.

The view from our room is simply breathtaking.

Now I will go and take a dip before the weddings lunch.

I realise I've become quite addicted to two things - mussles and pain au chocolat. That shouldn't come as a surprise since I go for the same diet every year.

We had a windy but beautiful (and rather meaty) tapas date yesterday evening.

Summer breakfast at its best.

I could look at this beauty forever. These are bought every morning at Senequier.

Unfortunately some big fires have hit the area past days. Here's one I spotted today.

Blue – the most beautiful colour in the world.
