I have always enjoyed the effect other artists and illustrators can create with watercolour. Singer Sargent and Zorn are my biggest idols. That's why I now take a watercolour course near Covent Garden focusing on still life. We often talk about capturing light. Sounds easy but I find it really hard. What's interesting is you start to seeing things in a new light (pun intended).
Two examples from Shelton street and Hyde Park.
