Here's an illustration I'm currently working on. My focus - hair. When I started to draw a couple of years ago, I didn't enjoyed drawing hair. I found it time-consuming and rather...boring. The face is so interesting so why put so much effort into the hair? This attitude has changed and I find it particularly interesting to study hair and movement.
I usually start by getting the overall values right. Where are the darkest and lightest bits? At the final step I add details with strands of hair and shine.
Do you have any tricks when drawing hair?
