I went to see the watercolour exhibition with John Singer Sargent this weekend. It was the final week so I dragged my boyfriend and myself to Victoria Station and put us on a train to Dulwich. It was so worth it!
I love Singer Sargent's the oil paintings but the watercolours were absolutely sublime. And the word sublime was actually what I heard one man whisper to himself every time he gazed at the paintings from every microscopic angle.
I've just started a course in watercolour. Be prepared to see me drawing something like this soon...or maybe not.
