I created this illustration today. I started out by making an india ink drawing of the portrait. I then added different layers of watercolour and Quink that I found on my computer.
I really enjoy working with the medium Quink, which is like ink but still...not. I had a teacher at Central Saint Martins who recommended it and it's the kind of ink you use in many fountain pens. I think the best thing is the pinkish hue it creates once you dilute it with water. You can also get the rich dark colours when using it straight from the bottle. What's your experience with Quink?
