Trips to Caen and Bayeux

The Castle of Caen from around 1060. Seeing this building makes you grateful for the few things that were not bombarded during World War II.

Some places were less fortnunate, which you tell from the constrasting architecture.

Later the dame day we went to Bayeux to see the famous Bayeux tapestry from the 11th century. Like my friend Hanna said, this village reminds you of scenes from the Beauty and the Beast.
